Exercise Tips

Exercise has many benefits.

It improves your body's use of insulin. Burns body fat and strengthens muscle. It lowers bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol. Blood circulation improves and it gives you more energy.

But Pre-Diabetic and Type 2 Diabetics should seek the advice of their doctor before beginning an exercise program.

Here are quick tips if you are starting a workout regimen:

  • Ask your doctor what types of exercise and degree of strenuousness your body can handle.
  • If you have severe eye disease or nerve damage, exercise may not be healthy for you.
  • Be careful with exercise if your blood sugar level is greater than 300 mg/dL.
  • Different exercises have different effects on your blood sugar. Make sure you understand the optimal work-out for your condition.
  • Drink water before and after all exercise.
  • Have carbohydrate-based foods available during and after exercise.
  • Exercise at the same time daily.
  • Prolonged or excessively strenuous exercise can increase blood sugar levels.
  • Exercise with a buddy who is aware of your diabetic condition.

For a low stress exercise regimen, go to the Books section on this website. You'll find Live Longer Now: The First 100 Years of Your Life. It tells you about low stress exercises that help you lose weight, feel better and have more energy. You can download it now. And it's FREE!

Also, don't forget about Diab-X. It's an all-natural, vegetarian supplement that's been clinically proven to help you lose weight 3 times faster than diet and exercise alone.
