Avoiding Temptation

Losing weight means avoiding temptation.

Here are some tips to help you bypass the fast food restaurants, donut shops and ice cream section of your grocery store:

  • Rotate Snacks.

    A sure diabetic diet killer is to stick with the same old raw vegetables or rice cakes. Change your healthy snacks with different low calorie fruit and vegetables, even a handful of nuts.

  • Remove unhealthy foods.

    Clean out your kitchen cupboards. Get rid of potato chips, cookies, candy, cake and ice cream from your shelves.

  • Find a healthy alternative to the unhealthy snacks you just threw out
  • Drink water.

    Always a healthy choice. But change it regularly with flavored unsweetened alternatives.

  • Eat 6 times a day.

    Have three small meals and three small, 150-calorie snacks every day. It keeps blood sugar levels and appetites under control.
